We are currently seeking a highly skilled and qualified
Fire Alarm Technician to service sites in and around Wellington, New Zealand.
You will be part of a team responsible for the effective
delivery, installation and maintenance of fire protection systems and equipment
throughout Wellington and the surrounding region.
Role
Overview
- Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe
manner and at a high standard of quality and in accordance with the project
requirements (specifications, programme, etc.)
- Be proactive in providing assistance to other
employees and sub-contractors
- Complete installation, maintenance and repairs
on a wide range of new and existing fire alarm systems including but not
limited to Pertonic, Tyco, Ampac and Notifier systems
- Ensure that all maintenance work is carried out
as per the relevant contract
- Routine testing of Fire alarm and sprinkler
systems maybe required
- Liaise with clients and/or their representatives
to discuss/resolve any issues arising from maintenance contracts or other work
carried out
- Prepare quotations or estimates for installation
or maintenance and/or related work as requested
- Conduct all tasks in accordance with the company
quality system
- Commissioning of fire systems
Role
requirements include:
- Relevant Trade Qualifications / or minimum of
three years field experience within the fire industry
- Excellent ability to build effective
relationships with clients
- Skilled at identifying and recommending cost
effective solutions
- Availability to participate in a rotating
on-call roster
- Excellent communication skills to clearly relate
with clients and peers
- Possibility of after-hours work if necessary
- Current Full Driver Licence
- A solid knowledge of the applicable New Zealand
Standards relevant to Fixed Systems fire protection equipment.
