Salary Range:$48, 510 - $53, 900 (plus superannuation)
The Role
We are currently seeking a full-time Chef, Cook and Trade Waiterto join our team.
Chef/ Cook
As a Chef/ Cood, you will need to deliver high quality and fine Japanese dishes, consistently well, in a fast-paced, busy and high-volume restaurant environment.
For successful application, you must demonstrate the following:
- At least two (2) years experience as a Chef
- Must be reliabe, level headed, punctual and organised
- Have experience in delivering fine food and have attention to fine details
- Good understanding in Japanese cuisine, cultures and cooking methods
- Able to develop menu for Sono Japanese Restaurant
- Good understanding in handling or raw ingredients like sashami
- Understanding of Food Safety & Handling proceedures
- Passionate about what you do, innovative and attention to details
- Work fast, clean and motivate team by leading by example
- For Chef; have Completed Diploma in Culinary Course or equivalent
- For Cook; Completed Certificate IV in Culinary Course or equivalent
- For Chef; Able to train and supervise junior staff
- Assist the team with ordering, cooking for dietary requirments and assist with function will be required
Trade Waiter
As a Trade Waiter, you must have immaculate presentation, have a very keen attention to detail, be patient, warm and empathic. You must take pride in being of service to others, you naturally go the step further and would enjoy being part of a unique and memorable expereience.
Duties include receiving and promptly responding to guests through personal email enquiry and booking system. Conceptualising and providing personal touches for each guest. Meet and greet. Seating. Providing a personal and engaging explanation of the restaurant concept, providing communication that engages and connects the guest with the chefs. Ensuring that no guest leaves less than completely satisfied and happy.
- Completion of Certificate III in Hospitality (Restaurant Front of House)
- Have a minimum of three (3) years experience in a restaurant environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Profound understanding in Japanese cuisine and culture
- A positive attitude, immaculate presentation and attention to detail
- Flexibility with shifts and availability on weekends
- Love of food, dining out and providing a fantastic experience for the customer
