The Role
Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), this role will be responsible for the analysis to aid in decision-making; this will be presented alongside forward-looking financial data and analysis that is strongly aligned to historic information and strategic objectives. You will also assist the Head of FP&A to build strong working relationships with the rest of the finance team to support the CFO in financial reporting, planning and analysis that informs strategic financial decision-making by the Board, CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
Key tasks include:
Design and deliver integrated financial analysis and projections, leveraging on current and evolving information system capabilities.
Assist in the preparation of annual and quarterly financial planning projections, including budget-setting, by implementing and/or updating driver-based financial data analysis and insights, including visualisation.
Process high volumes of data for integration between planning and business intelligence tools and accounting systems, evaluating its relevance for inclusion in financial planning and insights to support organisational/functional decision-making.
Help to ensure that data within planning and business insights tools is properly maintained.
Identify and resolve discrepancies

Key skills/ requirements:
Ideally have a CA or equivalent or working towards (not essential
A minimum of 3 years accounting/finance experience, with a strong financial accounting and/ or planning and analysis background in a complex business.
Experience in business intelligence systems, particularly Microsoft PowerBI (or similar), and their application together with database systems/queries, report writing, SQL.
Solid analytical skills including the ability to identify patterns and relationships in large data sources to quickly create data analysis insights and understanding of key business drivers impacting on financial performance.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and foster solid relationships cross-functionally within a business.
