For the right person, the journey in this role of Financial Controller is going to be good one. So it’s no surprise that this finance leadership role will have significant input to the business, and play a key part in helping the board achieve their aspirations for continuing growth.

Your core functions will be twofold. You will ensure integrity and accuracy of their finances, and additionally, you will provide ongoing commercial insight and input regarding the performance of the business. You will be leading a capable team of two in this sleeves-rolled up post with responsibilities spanning all aspects of financial management, including regulatory and financial reporting. The Board have an appetite for information, and you will play a big part in feeding that through by providing the commercial lens to the numbers. In addition to ensuring accurate reporting, you will conduct robust business planning and bring real added value through your scenario and business modelling, budgeting, reviewing and forecasting.

We are looking for a qualified accountant, with a strong commercial focus. You will need that delicate balance of commercial nimbleness and commitment to ensuring integrity and accuracy of the numbers. You will need to be able to demonstrate experience that combines strong accounting and business analysis expertise from commercial settings. If you have had exposure to SAAS based business offerings then that would be the icing on the cake.
