Financial Controller

Financial controller/accountant to manage the local day to day finance matters (bank reconciliations, payments, reports) In charge of various reporting to the NZ managing director, as well as to the offshore CFO in Cyprus (it correct, but we will not to mention this on the JD) Supervising the journal entries done by the bookkeeper as well as reviewing the Trial balance periodically, for accuracyPreparation of all audit material to external auditors Preparation of all GST reports (done via Xero software)Controlling all finance related deadlines (accounts reconciliation, Corporate tax, VAT etc.) as well as regulatory deadlines (FMA and ASIC reports) Qualified accountant (CPA) – is highly recommendedExperience in big 4 - is highly recommendedKnowledge and experience with accounting and bookkeeping system - MUSTLocal tax knowledge – corporate tax and GST – MUST (preferably both NZ and Australia) International tax knowledge - is recommendedExperience with reporting to offshore headquarters (outside NZ) – is highly recommended (it correct, but we will not to mention this on the JD)Knowledge with financial regulation reporting – ASIC and FMA – is highly recommendedTo apply for this vacancy you MUST be a New Zealand citizen, resident, or have already secured the right to work in New Zealand and therefore hold a valid visa.
