To support this exciting growth, Hamilton Jet is looking for a new Financial Controller (FC) - Cost and Management Accounting, who is ready and willing to contribute a strong set of cost and management accounting skills to the Christchurch Head Office based Finance Team.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Financial Controller - Cost and Management Accounting, takes overall accountability for providing management and cost accounting services for the Christchurch manufacturing facility and financial management of the Singapore Regional Office together with providing support for the global accounting teams. In doing this, the FC - Cost and Management Accounting will:
Manage the accuracy of product and inventory costings to ensure competitive sales pricing;
Analyse and report on margins;
Provide strong manufacturing support alongside the operations manager in cost control and reduction;
Provide regular inventory reporting by category;
Prepare, check and issue sales reports, management accounts, forecasts and budgets;
Support the implementation of the upgrade for the ERP system;
Your responsibilities relating to the Singapore function will include provision of core accounting support.
This role needs an independently driven management accountant who can provide end-to-end manufacturing-based cost accounting to ensure the smooth functioning of critical business processes and an ability to see and add commercial value to the business.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be process-oriented, driven and self-motivated. Familiar with BI reporting tools, you will be able to identify and utilise accurate information to streamline systems and processes and meet audit standards.
Confident and willing to roll your sleeves up; you will enjoy working with your team and your internal customers; providing valuable information, reporting and analysis to support decision making. Ready to support and take on some of the tasks of the Group FC, the FC – Cost and Management Accounting will maintain the core costing function of both the Christchurch and Singapore offices, while adding commercial value in areas that have identifiable gaps.
