Zespri is one of the world’s most successful horticultural marketing companies and NZ’s largest horticultural exporter, exporting more than 140 million trays of kiwifruit to more than 50 countries around the world, managing 30 percent of the global volume.The Role:This is a key management position in the Financial Planning team and is critical to the successful analysis and reporting of organisational results to Zespri management, the Zespri Board, Board sub committees, and the New Zealand Kiwifruit industry. Reporting to the Financial Planning Manager, this role will lead a team of Analysts responsible for the forecast and reporting of NZ grower payments, collaborative marketing and various seasonal financial analysis. This is a 15 month fixed term maternity cover contract, commencing January/February 2020 and based in Mount Maunganui.Responsibilities:The Financial Analytics & Reporting Manager will build strong relationships with the business to understand and produce meaningful analysis. This role is a key contact point for financial queries from the business and industry and will be responsible for:Leading, developing and mentoring a team of 3 Analysts.
Producing, reporting, analysing and updating all aspects of the NZ supply grower payments forecast.
Owning and managing the creation, maintenance, improvement and reporting of various financial models.
Regular business reporting and enhancements including, sales reporting, promotional reporting, cost of quality etc.
Process mapping for all financial planning team processes.
Providing business partner financial support to various parts of the business and senior management.
Participate in project and business transformation work as required.
Ad hoc analysis, financial modelling and reporting to support commercial decisions and other business needs.
Qualifications and Experience:Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business
CAANZ qualified or similar finance qualification is desirable
Experience with managing teams
Extremely results oriented with a strong focus on quality and meeting customer needs through analysis and reporting.
Advanced financial analytics/modelling skills, with ability to manage and manipulate large data
Ability to make rational judgements from the available information by analysing numerical and verbal data from a number of sources.
Exposure to a large ERP system will also be highly beneficial.
