Financial Analyst UniServices develops partnerships with worldleading academics from the University of Auckland to apply leading research innovation and evidencebased solutions to challenges being addressed in the real world both in New Zealand and internationally We work alongside government industry other research entities and nongovernmental organisations to grow and transform the economy enhance innovation and learning solutions protect the environment and progress social economic and policy challenges to the benefit of all New Zealanders We closely partner with the University of Auckland to add value to Business through contract research consultancies and licensing Investors through intellectual property development Governments communities through societal research custom education programmes and service delivery We currently have an Financial Analyst role available where the focus will be to proactively lead the accurate measuring and evaluation of the financial health and costs of given projects including the maintenance and reporting of all financial records and transactions for projects and other associated programmes Responsibilities will include Manage the setup of contracts in the financial system in a timely manner according to standard policies and procedures Lead project analysis and hold regular reviews with Project Managers and advise on how to achieve best project performance Ensure there are excellent processes and documentation in place for all financial aspects of the service and work stream projects Proactively work to identify or resolve issues raised by Business Units related to processes and financial systems To be considered for this role you must have A tertiary qualification with a Commerce Accounting degree working towards a CA qualification 5 years accounting experience Knowledge of management accounting budgeting and forecasting Strong analytical and problem solving skills Good Excel skills Good communication skills Selfstarter able to work independently High level of attention to detail Exceptional organisation skills In return you will enjoy The opportunity to work in a diverse multisite environment based in Central Auckland Great benefits including 5 weeks annual leave 50 off University of Auckland Executive Education Short Courses eye testing and glasses subsidies and access to discounts on banking health insurance and gym memberships A copy of the job description is attached or to learn more about the role visit If this sounds like the role you have been looking for please apply by clicking the apply now button and uploading your CV and cover letter Applications close at 5 p m Friday 27 March 2020 www uniservices co nz
