When you're part of the Summerset team, you belong to a place where your work has real impact, who you are is fully embraced and where your career flourishes.About the Role:Summerset is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our Corporate Services team.In this role, you will be responsible for various financial accounting and reporting processes, providing knowledge and advice to the business, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and policies.You will also assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements, support the financial audit process, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review statutory financial statements for the group and subsidiaries.Assist in the financial audit process and prepare related documentation.Preparation and processing of journals and accruals, as well as maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.Ensure compliance with IFRS and other relevant legislation.Responsibility for fixed asset register maintenance.Support the annual budgeting process and other ad-hoc projects.What You Will NeedTertiary degree in accounting/CA qualified (or equivalent).3+ years of experience in an accounting role.Strong knowledge of NZ IFRS.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).Ability to work independently and with attention to detail.What's in it for you?Career development opportunitiesDay to day health insurance coverEmployee share schemeA day of on your birthdayStaff discounts through Summerset suppliersSick leave is offered from day oneIf this sounds like you or someone you know, then we would love to hear from you!Applications close for this position on May 18th.Please note due to NZ Immigration requirements we are obliged to consider candidates that already have the right to work in NZ for this role first.
