Financial Accountant permanent job, Dunedin based, competitive salary depending on experience Your new company You will be working for Southern Hospitality, the leading supplier to NZ's hospitality industry. Started in Dunedin in 1989, the company has enjoyed significant growth, and has recently been acquired by a French Private Equity group, who are looking to further accelerate the growth in the region. Integration of the groups various activities and transition to the reporting requirements required for a global corporate organisation have created a unique opportunity in the Finance team. You will be part of a small team operating in a fast-moving environment, focussed on driving process improvement, top class reporting and business support to aid the business's growth aspirations. Your new role You will be working as a Financial Accountant. Reporting directly to the FC, you'll be at the heart of the organisation providing accounting and financial support to the organisation. Your tasks will include the monthly accounts process, reporting and analysis, fixed asset register, budgeting and forecasting, banking and treasury, compliance, and process improvement. The challenging environment will provide plenty of opportunity to expand your skills and involvement in the business. What you'll need to succeed You will need strong accounting and reporting skills, with excellent software knowledge and highly competent analytical and problem solving skills. You will be suitably educated, with relevant university education and ideally a chartered certification with a minimum of 2 years experience at this level. You will also need to be a dynamic personality with a passion for excellence, an enjoyment for being part of a successful team, and have respect for the customer journey and how you can positively impact that.
