Financial Accountant

Our client has a strong track record of growth across NZ and in their sector they are now being seen as a leader in both innovation and development. Their finance team is well established in Christchurch, but due to the growth they need to add an additional position to the team.The Financial Accountant is a newly created role in the finance team and reporting to the Financial Controller will take responsibility for ensuring the accurate preparation/compilation of the financial reporting. This is an environment where the finance team is strongly focussed on supporting the business and this role will develop to also contribute by leading the budgeting process, the further development of the performance reporting, and have a focus on continuous improvement of business processes and systems. Over the medium term the role will offer considerable exposure across the business and good prospects for career advancement.This is an excellent opportunity for a degree qualified Accountant who has completed their CA requirements in either a BAS and or an audit environment to take that next career step into the corporate sector. Candidates may have gained some previous commercial sector experience, but the key prerequisite is that initial training and good knowledge of reporting standards.
