What your day to day at food&desire looks like -
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your role will assist with the financial management of the business.
Some of your responsibilities include:
Balance sheet, bank and intercompany reconciliations
Assisting with budgets and cash flow forecasting
Preparation of Monthly Financial Statements
Completion of Statutory Returns, IAS, BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax and Super
Weekly and monthly reporting for internal & external parties
Provide full financial function for four Associated Entities including Payroll
Assist with other Finance related tasks and projects as needed
Your experience in the hospitality industry would be great but is not essential.
What wed love you to have -
3+ years experience working as an autonomous accountant within in a small/medium business
Undergraduate degree in Finance/Accounting, completing CA or CPA, or intention to commence
Thorough knowledge and exposure to Australian tax laws and accounting software systems
Exposure to running payroll
Meticulous attention for detail and a hands on approach
Ability to organise and prioritise tasks, delivering to short lead times when necessary
Exceptional communication skills with a high energy levels whom works well both independently and as part of a team
Excellent computer skills, including Excel, Word and Email management on Outlook
Loves a laugh (and food of course!)
