About the role
Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, theFinancial Accountantwill be responsible to produce high-quality financial information to support the effective management of the business and to enhance decision making.
This full-time permanent, hands-on position will:
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Financial and Account systems and processes,
Manage the Treasury operations,
Perform internal and external reporting processes,
Ensure internal control systems and processes are in place,
Delegate appropriately and provide guidance,
Provide professional advice, support and guidance to the Financial Accounting Manager.
Be warmly welcomed to the team based at the National Office on Willis Street, with breath-taking views over Wellington Harbour.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
Experience showing progressive responsibility in both a Chartered Accounting and public environment
Experience in working with accounting systems and processes
Ability to establish objectives, set priorities and be committed to their implementation
Ability to plan and introduce change effectively
Ability to adapt to changing demands, meet stated deadlines and troubleshoot as necessary.
