We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant within the Support Services Group. This team is responsible for supporting LIC to deliver on the promise we make to our customers.

This is a fixed term position for 9 months to cover parental leave.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

CA qualification or near qualification (member of CAANZ or equivalent professional body);
Two years' experience in a financial or management accounting role;
Good system skills - with strong knowledge of Excel and SAP being desirable;
Strong communication skills and the ability to develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders;
Be flexible, innovative and adaptable.

Your Key Focus

Reporting to the Group Financial Accountant, your duties will include:

Fixed assets - management of all related accounting functions within the organisation. Including monthly accounting, budgeting, forecasting & annual reporting;
Management of all aspects of the group's compliance with IFRS 16;
Project management - working with other parts of the business to control and monitor capital projects, providing advice & support where required;
Financial system administration (SAP & LOIS) - particularly for fixed assets;
Daily cash management & treasury;
Establish and maintain partnerships throughout the organisation.
