Finance Manager

Job DescriptionAbout the roleWe are seeking a Finance Manager to join our team based in Christchurch and Dunsandel offices.
You will be responsible for overseeing all financial functions within the ingredients portfolio, ensuring strong financial management, compliance and strategic financial planning.
You will work closely with key stakeholders of the revenue team to drive financial efficiency and support business growth.This role requires a hands-on dynamic leader who can manage financial risk, budgets and support a team of three to drive performance and guide our financial vision.Key responsibilities of this role include:Provide direction and guidance that will enable the ingredients portfolio to achieve financial targets.Manage financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.Provide insights and recommendations to key stakeholders based on financial analysis and implement financial strategies to support growth.Manage cash flow, financial risk, and cost-control initiatives.Work closely with operational teams to optimise financial processes and efficiency.Skills And ExperienceThe ideal candidate for this role will bring experience in financial management and have experience leading a small team.
This role will also require:You will have a CA/CFA qualification or equivalent preferred.Ideally you have previous experience within the dairy industry.A proven track record in a similar role, including experience in financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning.Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide clear, strategic recommendations.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Applicants outside of New Zealand will only be considered if you have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand.About Us – The Synlait WaySynlait is a dynamic, purpose-led milk nutrition company that is Doing Milk Differently for a Healthier World!
