Finance Manager

Our client is a well-established organisation in the technology sector with its head office based in Christchurch. The company continues to invest in the development of it product range and with a strong brand presence in export markets, it is well positioned to capitalise on future growth opportunities. The role of Finance Manager reports to the CFO (0.5FTE) so you will also be a member of the leadership team and will take on responsibility for the day to day leading of the accounting, finance, business information systems & administrative functions, while providing strategic support to the CFO and CEO. Supported by an Accountant and a small finance team, you will still be involved in the monthly accounting and reporting routines, but the focus will be on the further development of the information & reporting systems; leading the budgeting, financial planning & forecasting and then ensuring the business performance analysis and the statutory reporting is delivered to agreed timelines. As the company looks to capitalise on new off shore growth opportunities, there will also be plenty of involvement working with sales and operations teams, as well other projects to keep you busy. We view this position as an ideal opportunity for candidates who have established themselves in other senior finance roles to take that next step and then develop as the company continues to grow. Applicants will have relevant professional qualifications, and will need to demonstrate skills/experience in the areas of financial accounting, business analysis & performance reporting, and the development of processes/systems. Previous experience in manufacturing/production orientated environments, while not essential is a definite advantage.
