What we’re looking for
Due to an internal promotion, we need an exceptional Finance Manager to lead our Wellington Finance and Administration team. This opportunity offers the chance to be a senior leader within the business, support the region in attaining its business objectives and ensure continued future success.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be responsible for working with all levels of management to support them with their finance and administration requirements. On a day-to-day basis you’ll:
Monitor, review and report on financial performance
Oversee the development of accurate operational and capital budgets as well as forecasts
Contribute to business planning and support the development of new business strategies
Analyse and interpret trends and provide proactive support to the business including finance training to the Business Unit Managers
Manage and develop the Finance and Administration Team
Lead improvements and initiatives to enable efficient and effective processes, systems and procedures
What you’ll bring to the table
We’re looking for someone with solid experience in the field with the below attributes:
Strong technical accounting knowledge, CA or CPA qualified
People leader with a strong team-focus and the ability to coach, guide, develop and lead effectively
Strong analytical skills and ability to review and critique financial information
Time management skills with the ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines
Experience in implementing and leading process improvements
Strong stakeholder focus and ability to communicate professionally and effectively at various levels, building strong relationships both externally and internally
Proactive, organised and hands on approach with the ability to work well as a team and on own initiative
