This role is a key decision-support partner for our New Zealand business unit, collaborating closely with finance, accounting, operations, and senior management to optimize financial performance, accelerate profitable growth, and mitigate risks.About the RoleAs the Finance Business Partner - New Zealand, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy, analysis, and decision-making for our New Zealand business unit.
Reporting to the Finance Director Pacific, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and senior management, to provide data-driven insights that support business growth, optimize financial performance, and mitigate risks.Operating in a fast-paced, matrix environment, you will work independently while engaging with regional and global finance teams.
The ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and adapt to evolving business needs will be key to success in this role.Reporting into the Finance Director Pacific, this is a permanent full-time role, based in Auckland New Zealand, with a hybrid home/office arrangement to support a healthy work-life balance.ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive financial analysis, including variance, trend and profitability analysis, to provide actionable insights.Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.Provide strategic decision support, offering financial recommendations and scenario analysis.Prepare management reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.Drive process improvements and automation to enhance financial operations.Work closely with regional and global finance teams to align financial reporting and best practices.RequirementsCPA/CA qualification or equivalent.5+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial modeling.Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong communication skills to convey complex financial insights to stakeholders.Ability to work independently and collaborate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.Work in a way that works for youWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
