Our Finance Business Partner is a key member of the Vector Metering business team, reporting directly into Vector’s Group Manager Finance, Competitive Market.
Working closely with the business and leadership team you will provide financial leadership, commercial insights on business performance, strategic and tactical insights on business opportunities. You will also provide support on budgeting, forecasting, reporting and leading a small management accounting team. In addition to this, a big focus of this role will be on the Australian market to deliver the next phase of its growth while constantly managing challenges.
Other deliverables for this role –
Develop strong working relationships with the Competitive Markets Leadership team and their divisions to enable the Finance team to engage, support and challenge the divisions around financial performance and tactical initiatives
Evaluate and provide commercial support to the wider team with competitor assessment and strategy development in Australia and NZ* * Role can be based in either Aukckland or WellingtonWho we are looking for
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:
Must have a relevant Chartered Accountant qualifications
Knowledge of SAP or equivalent
Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills
Highly developed leadership skills, credibility, and integrity
5+ years’ experience in a senior finance role. Ideally beginning in accounting and audit, followed by experience gathering, evaluating, presenting, and reporting financial information to executive teams and external stakeholders
An in-depth understanding of management, financial, regulatory, and tax reporting
