The Work
As part of our roll out of Ultra-Fast Broadband to the homes and businesses of New Zealand, Ventia are seeking an experienced Field Manager on a 12 month fixed-term contract to oversee works on a project on the West Coast. The project involves the laying of duct and hauling of distribution fibre along State Highway 6. The project also includes aerial components, bridging and culverts.
You
As the project includes elements of both telecommunications and civil roading, ideally your experience will have equipped you with a strong understanding of civil works and expertise in the building of telecommunications infrastructure. As you will be overseeing the work of a subcontractor and working closely with a consultant from NZTA, you need to have strong communication and stakeholder management skills as well as a diplomatic temperament. You will also be responsible for overseeing safety compliance and quality control and should carry a strong track record in both.
