Field Service Technician Location: South Taranaki

Nevada is New Zealand's specialist in dairy effluent equipment and solutions, working with dairy farmers across New Zealand and Australia.
Based in Hawera, they operate as a small, dedicated team focused on providing practical solutions and excellent service.

We are seeking a reliable, honest, full-time Field Service Technician for a customer-facing role.
The position involves both workshop and on-farm work, with occasional coordination of team members and contractors.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, a can-do attitude, and be physically fit.

You may spend up to 3-4 nights per month working outside Taranaki, including in Australia, so a valid passport or the ability to obtain one is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:Set-Up and Installation:Coordinate with contractors and oversee trenching and pipe installation (PE or PVC)Set up slurry tankers and bladder tanksOperate machinery such as tractors Field Service and Technical Support:Troubleshoot equipment issuesPerform mechanical repairs on tractors, slurry tankers, pond stirrers, pumps, and irrigatorsService equipment to ensure proper operation Machinery Repairs/Rebuilds:Overhaul electric and PTO-driven pumpsRepair vacuum pumps on slurry tankersRebuild irrigatorsSet up and commission new machineryPerform scheduled servicingAssemble new machinery and equipment Requirements:Experience or understanding of mechanical or engineering workCreative problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and a tidy work ethicCustomer-focused attitudeWillingness to work occasional overtimeFull clean car license is requiredForklift license is recommended but not essentialModerate fitness levelTeam player with a cooperative mindset Benefits include a competitive salary, personal use of a company vehicle, participation in the Growth By Share scheme, and comprehensive training and support from a dynamic team.
