Fencer / General Farm Worker.

Wye Hills is a sheep, beef and deer farm located in the Wairau Valley, 40 minutes west of Blenheim. The farm consists of 1400 hectares of predominantly hill country, with some irrigated flats used for cropping and grazing.

A fencer, general farm worker is required to assist two others in running this diverse farm and expanding the deer unit. The ideal candidate with have a strong work ethic, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently when required. Previous farm experience is preferred, but not essential. An interest in machinery would be advantageous.

The hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5pm, although some late nights will be required during spring and harvesting. This position is paid at an hourly rate, so you will be paid for any necessary overtime. There will also be some occasional weekend work, which will be paid at time-and-a-half. Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea are provided.

The preferred start date is early May although this is negotiable for the right person.
