Female Initiatives Activator

The role of Activator is leading the delivery of a school age Female Sport Initiative on behalf of Auckland Cricket Association. This role is to drive the delivery into Secondary and Intermediate Schools within Auckland. This entry level role is ideal for people wanting to develop a career in sports and recreation.
This role is estimated at 20 hours per week, from 2.30 until 5.30 pm Monday to Friday starting in Term 1. No experience necessary. An induction and training process will take place prior to Christmas estimated at 15 hours, however if this can not be done at this time, it can take place in early Jan before the role starts.
This role is suited to a passionate, confident person who has the energy and dynamism to engage enthusiastically with young women and girls. This person will have the drive and imagination to build, develop and adapt the programme to suit the preferences of the initiative participants. The job is currently confirmed for Term 1, and should the programme be successful and your skills fitting, the role can extend on until Term 4. The successful applicant will have the following characteristics: Confident and empathic - a key part of this role, is building relationships of a mentoring nature with the participants. Motivator - a strong leader who has the ability to motivate and encourage participants to invest fully in the initiative. Outgoing and energetic with a strong sense of fun - above all this initiative is about fun and friendship, the successful applicant will encourage and help develop interaction between the participants. Well organised - Regular reporting and feedback is a requirement for this role. Desire to succeed.
