Under the guidance of an interim Farm Manager, Mt Hamilton Station has been building a solid foundation over the past 2 years and is now in a position to progress to the next level of performance – Are you the Farm Manager who can take us there? You’ll have solid animal management experience and an eye for detail for animal performance as well as process improvement skills. You’ll execute the plans for the farm and add value by bringing your own expertise and perspective. You’ll have the support of the Senior Business Manager and other colleagues as you settle in to the job and work to the plan. It’s all sitting there, ready to go – turn this into reality! It is running 1,500 MA Hinds, 500 Calving cows plus replacements and 250 dairy beef calves. It is located 15 minutes from Mossburn (primary and secondary schooling is in Te Anau or Lumsden), 40 minutes from Te Anau and 90 minutes from Queenstown and Invercargill. Outdoor activities abound with great hunting and fishing, plus a rugby club at Mossburn, a good local dog trial club, and a soon to be formed social cricket club.Pamu offers a competitive salary plus benefits such as medical insurance, death and disability insurance, etc. We are currently constructing a brand new 165 sqm 3-bedroom house on the farm which is due to be completed around early – mid spring. As a result, we will provide short term accommodation available in a recently refurbished 3-bedroom, double glazed house on the farm next door (5-minute drive away) while the new house construction is being completed. Pamu will pay for the relocation costs associated with moving from the temporary accommodation provided into the new residence.
