Farm Assistant

We are seeking a new team member to join our 1450 cow dairy farm located 20 minutes to the town of Ashburton, New Zealand.This position will be available on the 1st May when our current team member's Holiday Visa runs out.
We are looking for someone to stay for at least 6 months.Must be New Zealand Citizen or on a Working Holiday Visa.We run a 6 on 2 off roster, with a maximum of 45 hours per week worked.We milk in an 80 bail rotary, with automatic cup removers, auto teat sprayer, protrack and in-shed feeding.
The farm is 420ha with a neighbouring block used for winter.
We use Afimilk cow collars for heat detection, animal health monitoring, and feeding patterns/intakes.We utilise a 3 in 2 milking regime during a majority of the year as this helps reduce hours and time in the milking shed for our animals and team.Your role will include, but is not limited to:MilkingBreak fencingWeed controlAnimal health monitoring/recordingTractor workWashing upOther general farm dutiesPrevious milking experience preferred.All work gear provided: gumboots, wet weathers, gloves, etc.
