Farm Assistant (Fixed Term)

We require a Fixed Term Farm Assistant to join our team over calving/mating:
· Close to town – 10 minutes South East of Ashburton
· House provided – a furnished 3 bedroom house comes with this position
· On the Job Training – we will give you the training and support needed to begin your dairy farming career
· We value a positive attitude above experience! Any farming/practical experience is a bonus, but not necessary.
We milk 800 cows through a 54 bale Rotary with automated technology. Short walks for the cows and predominately pivot irrigation make for a well set up farm. Supporting the dairy farm are two neighbouring run-offs for wintering and young stock.
This role will have you involved in a full range of farm tasks including milking, animal health, fencing, and at times assisting feeding calves.
You must be able to pass a Drug Test and have a Restricted or Full Licence. The position begins 15th July until Mid-November.
