Facilities Manager

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is a leading, privately owned global logistics company with branches in Auckland and Christchurch, New Zealand.
We specialize in delivering on-time, temperature-sensitive supply chain solutions for FMCG, Agricultural, Horticultural, Seafood, and Healthcare industries.Position: Facilities ManagerWe are seeking a dedicated individual to maintain our warehouses, offices, plant, and equipment.
This role ensures a safe and efficient working environment.
The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of NZ building and safety codes, with a background in trade, ideally in HVAC or refrigeration, and a proven track record in contractor management.This role requires that you:Maintain RACA environment and local authority building requirements.Oversee HVAC and refrigeration systems for optimal performance.Plan and schedule asset repairs and maintenance, keeping appropriate records.Develop and maintain business continuity, emergency response, and security plans.Input into budgeting process and secure quotations per procurement policies.Manage facility-related projects from planning to completion.Coordinate on-site contractor activities to ensure compliance and quality.Maintain accurate records and documentation in Facilities Management System.To be successful in securing this role you will have:Relevant qualifications in facilities management or a related field.Proven experience in refrigeration or HVAC systems.Sound knowledge of NZ building and safety codes, and relevant facilities and health & safety legislation.Knowledge of RACA and experience in a secure environment, ideally from a Freight Forwarding background.5-10 years of experience in managing and coordinating external service providers.Experience in budgeting and procurement.Proficiency with facilities management systems and software.Excellent attention to detail.You will also be:Organized: A planner who can pivot based on priorities.Proactive: Continuously seeking solutions and improvements.Cost-Conscious: Attentive to cost efficiency.Committed: Dedicated to safety, sustainability, and excellent service.So, if you have the above experiences, skills, and knowledge, and are ready for a new challenge within our fast-paced, performance-oriented international freight forwarding and logistics company, this opportunity is for you!How do your skills match this job?Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as a facilities manager?Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of OH&S/WHS?What's your expected annual base salary?Do you have a current New Zealand driver's licence?
