Are you a bit of a handy man, with a passion for finding solutions and fixing things? These skills will be well utilised in our Splash Palace based Facilities Maintenance Technician position.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for regularly inspecting facilities and equipment, completing planned maintenance schedules, and assisting the wider Splash Palace team with day to day breakdowns and operational maintenance of other plant, equipment, or facilities.
Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will put your mechanical aptitude to the test ensuring the operation and maintenance of our water heating and ventilation systems. This includes ensuring the maintenance of heating levels, daily water testing, and safe operation of chemical systems to meet the national standards for the safe operation of public pools.
Our ideal candidate will have good computer literacy, excellent communication skills and the ability to solve day to day and more complex problems, as well as experience performing maintenance inspections and reporting. A qualification in Swimming Pools Water Treatment and a full driver's licence are both essential in this role, as is experience in an associated industry. Previous experience in swimming pool water treatment plant operation would also be an advantage.
In this position, you will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and flexibility is key, as our facilities maintenance team may be asked to attend call-outs for emergency or unplanned breakdowns outside of normal business hours when available.
