We have an exciting opportunity for aFacilitatorto work with our Future Learning Solutions – Centre for Languages. This full-time role will focus on supporting the Pacific portfolio within the languages team.
Our preferred candidate would be an experienced facilitator in the New Zealand education sector with a relevant teaching accreditation. As this position supports the Pacific languages position, we are seeking applicants that are fluent in a Pacific language, with a ‘trusted advisor’ status in the Pacific education community and/or academic environment. Knowledge about the theory and practice of second language pedagogy, andragogy and experience in the Learning Languages sector is a priority.

A little about the role:
This unique opportunity involves working as part of a supportive team of professional educators, employed by Auckland UniServices to deliver the Future Learning Solutions, Centre for Languages contracts and programmes.
The Future Learning Solutions, Centre for Languages delivers free professional learning and development workshops, events, programmes and immersion opportunities to support and guide schools to achieve sustainable language programmes in Chinese, Cook Island Maori, French, German, Japanese, Korean, New Zealand Sign Language, Niuean, Samoan, Spanish, Tokelauan and Tongan.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
Recruiting teachers and schools in collaboration with the Future Learning Solutions Centre for Languages team for participation in the programmes – getting schools and teachers into programmes, workshops, events and immersion
Facilitation and n-school support of a variety of professional development programmes supporting teachers of languages, specifically teachers of Pacific languages
Tracking progress of facilitated schools and teachers, reporting progress and suggestions for improvements to the Programme Manager
Supporting the Programme Manager in the delivery of specific delegated promotion, marketing and engagement activities
Feeding back into the marketing, promotion and engagement plan
Contributing evidence to programme reports to the Ministry of Education
