Fabricator Welder

Purpose of Position The Fabricator Welder is an important team member who is responsible for the fabrication of new products and the maintenance and repair of other items as directed General Tasks Not an exhaustive list Use of general workshop tools and machineryCompetent use of Mig and Stick weldersOperation of guillotine and brake press machineryManufacture of items to workshop drawingsMaintenance and adherence of organisation paperwork requirementsLegislation and Policy Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and any subsequent amendments and the E quip Health and Safety Policy Ensure compliance with any other relevant legislationComply with all E quip policies and proceduresOther Duties Any other duties as may be reasonably required by the employer Person Specification Ideally we are seeking a person with experience working in an engineering or general workshop environment with a good understanding of workplace Health and Safety requirements Essential Have knowledge or experience in a fabrication welding type role in an engineering or similar environmentHold or be capable of obtaining a welders certificationA good knowledge and adherence to the health and safety legislation and company policies and proceduresCurrent and unrestricted drivers licenceExcellent communication skillsAbility to provide a clear pre employment drug and alcohol testDesirable A drivers licence forklift endorsementSelf motivated and proactiveCustomer focussedPunctualAbility to prioritise tasksPhysically fitAdaptableAnalytic and problem solving skillsWell organised and a desire to maintain high standardsA high level of attention to detail
