Account & Relationship Management (Sales) Full time Circa 140-150++ Dependant and/or relocation Based in the Central North Island our client has two operational sites that manufacture wood pulp products and sawn timber. The wood processing operations produce a range of timber and pulp products derived from renewable plantations of Radiata pine for both the domestic and export markets. This high-volume production site has recently undergone significant engineering upgrades propelling productions levels to new heights and we are now seeking a seasoned export sales professional to step into the well-established international portfolio. The incumbent of the role has experienced progression within the business and will be present to establish a strong handover and on-going support for the new Export Sales Manager. The ideal candidate would come from within the commodity/export industries, however fit, and expertise is important to us, so we would like to chat to candidates with a wide range of export sales experience. The Role: This critical sales position will lead export sales into existing and new markets. You'll play an integral role in sourcing what their customers need through maximizing existing relationships; and be involved in sourcing, pricing, and negotiations, including logistics and shipping arrangements. Your core focus will be managing sales and customers throughout Asian based export markets. Your customers in these markets rely heavily on timely delivery of product that meets tight market specifications – and there can be a real balancing act in analysing and planning to effectively meet the market expectations and balance the manufacturing and production capacity. Your ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders is crucial. You will nurture and grow agent relationships, client relationships and internal relationships across sales support, production, and logistics. You will maintain a price list database, manage all reorder cycles, create export orders and process all quotes and proforma documentation. What do you need? You will come from a strong export sales background You will have experience within Asian markets Strong planning and organizational skills will be a prerequisite. You must relate well to manufacturing environments. Communication and engagement must be strong points along with your interpersonal skills and flexible nature.
