Experienced Chef De Partie Wanted

We are a busy restaurant located in Auckland. We are looking for an experienced Chef De Partie to join our busy team down in the Viaduct Harbour. Ideal candidate should have more than 3 years’ work experience at a similar role in a similar high paced restaurant. Candidates must have experience with the following: Sour Dough Breadmaking, Plating, Cold Larder prep and Dessert prep.ie: Tarts, Mousses, Ice cream, Sorbet and some Chocolate work. A relevant tertiary cookery diploma will be a bonus for this position. Our chef De Partie is required to do the below tasks: - Check reservations each day and for days in advance, looking out for special menus or groups- Inspect level of stock to avoid waste and make orders accordingly- Liaise with other kitchen staff to prepare preparation lists and prioritise list for jobs needed to be finished by lunch or by dinner- Ensure his/her team has everything they need to carry out their jobs and orders have been delivered and checked off- Fill in daily specials sheet prior to service so to inform staff of changes & specials etc.- Responsible for the overall direction of all dishes planning and production, especially for Larder/Pastry Section- Responsible to make sure all dished are produced and cooked from fresh ingredients- Monitors quality of dishes during preparation and presentation.- Discusses food preparation issues, major breakages or repair issues with Head Chef or FOH Manager- Provide supervision and training for new employees in conjunction with the Head Chef- Demonstrate cooking techniques and advises on cooking procedures.- The ability to work under pressure- Good communication skills with an approachable manor- Strong motivation and creativity If you think you are the ideal person we need, please send cv to: ********** or apply through Myjobspace platform.
