Experience Design Director

ASB is looking for a talented Experience Design Director to join our new and expanding Design Practice. This is an opportunity to lead, collaborate with, and work across the ASB organisation to develop solutions that help improve the financial well-being of New Zealanders. As Experience Design Director, you'll be working to shape industry-leading financial products used by millions across the country.

The Experience Design Director is:
An experienced practitioner and leader in the design community, who has extensive experience delivering products and services across multiple customer touchpoints.
An inspired creative leader and community builder, working across the Chapters within the Practice, and across business partners throughout ASB.
A strategic thinker, adept at creating design solutions, bringing stakeholders along the journey through storytelling and consensus building
A contributor to and champion of creating a supportive and empowering culture where people can do their best work, and have fun while doing it.
A problem solver, and "doer" who can think high level and strategic, but also has the ability to execute down to the finest details.
An empathetic and good listener with high EQ who understands how to work with a wide variety of personalities across a growing and diverse team.
A passionate and courageous customer advocate, who uses HCD and Design Thinking to ensure we are solving the right problem, with the right solution.
