Auckland Council Experience Centres are seeking an experienced educator to deliver curriculum-based, hands-on learning experiences at Long Bay Regional ParkThe opportunityProvide experiential learning sessions for students, teachers and adults that empowers action for te taiao at school or homeKey criteriaPlanning, delivery and facilitation of education sessions for schools at all year levels,Available to work any day of the week during term time.
As and when bookings come inComply with health and safety policies, procedures and practicesAttend training, professional development and meetingsAssist with training new educatorsQualifications and experienceEnvironmental / sustainability backgroundTeaching qualifications preferred, but not essentialExperience working with tamariki and rangatahi, preferably in the outdoorsExcellent communication and group facilitation skillsStrong Health & Safety practiceAbility to contribute to coordination, maintenance and administration of programmes.If you are an enthusiastic educator looking to make a difference, we would love to hear from you.
