Executive Officer – Rimutaka Prison
-Permanent position
-Based in Rimutaka Prison
Te Whare Manaakitanga (TWM) is a purpose built 30-bed intensive treatment unit for high risk violent offenders. It is based in Rimutaka Prison (approximately 30 minutes from Wellington city), and is one of four units in New Zealand where the Special Treatment Unit Rehabilitative Programme (STURP) is delivered.
We are looking for a strong team player who can work closely with the Manager Psychological Services in the Treatment Unit to support our group of registered professionals in the execution of their work and project activities.
With a keen eye for detail you will be instrumental in supporting our business unit, acting as a key point of contact for internal and external customers across the country. Possessing exceptional communication and organisational skills, your duties and responsibilities will be dynamic including:
-Co-ordination and organisation of meetings, functions, seminars and other events on behalf of the team.
-Travel and expenses coordination
-Budgeting and reporting, presentations, internal reception duties and general correspondence
-Equipment and facilities maintenance
Maintaining and updating records, systems and files – including personnel files.
-Developing office systems that enhance efficiencies and ensure legal and professional obligations are met
-Setting up vendors and paying accounts
-Ensuring the Psychologists have all resources they need in order to complete their work
With your natural can-do attitude you will quickly identify, address and resolve the needs of the business unit. You will demonstrate competency in the MS suite of applications, be meticulous in the recording and maintaining of information and committed to delivering a high level of service to our organisation.
It is particularly important for you to have strong skills in Microsoft Excel. It would also be beneficial if you have experience using the Care system.
