About the Organisation
Our client, Good Shepherd NZ, is focused supporting better futures for women and girls experiencing disadvantage. Good Shepherd NZ works in the areas of social and financial exclusion, and its most significant project to date is its micro finance programme, in partnership with BNZ, the Government and community-based organisations, providing fair and affordable credit to families on limited incomes. Good Shepherd NZ is expanding both its micro finance and social inclusion work, and consequently a new position has been created to support the expansion of the broader organisation.
About the Role
The Executive Assistant will be primarily responsible for assisting the Chief Executive and supporting the Manager - Finance and Administration with all administration tasks pertaining to those positions.
This is a full-time role, where some flexibility may be possible with hours of work. You will enjoy working autonomously within a wonderful caring team culture.
Primary areas of responsibility will be:
Attending Board meetings and providing all secretariat support
Providing support for Board events and other organisational event management duties
Assisting with Health and Safety legislation along with Human Resources and Recruitment administration
Managing organisational travel requirements
Preparing presentations
Updating of policy documents, document management and formatting
Processing of invoices and AP and AR function, uploading bank payments and transfers
Supporting banking arrangements such as issuing debit cards, updating account signatories and managing credit cards
About You
To perform well in this role, applicants will point to:
Proven experience in an executive /office administration position
Report writing and minute taking experience
An understanding of relevant legislation, particularly around Health and Safety
A confident, professional, engaging manner with a broad range of people, and an open collaborative communication style
The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines thorough planning, prioritising and being adaptive to change
