EVENT OPERATIONS MANAGER

About the position:
Working with a strong Executive Team, lead an established Team of amazing achievers across multiple disciplines.
We're looking for a self-motivated, hard-working, ambitious and passionate professional who has the ability to deliver results fast, while enjoying the culture and empowerment that an educational events business can offer.
With at least 5-years experience in business management andwith a strong conferences/event operations background, your responsibility is to manage the daily operations of the Events/Education Business including marketing, creative and event logistics.
You will report to our GM and our Board of Directors and work alongside the other Executives in the business, including our CEO, to deliver the highest level of results for our Team and our Students.
Experience leading teams is essential, as is a hands-on, get into the trenches work ethic.
Your Teams are dedicated and experienced, and as with all Teams, require support, guidance, and a great Manager. This role will oversee our Events & Marketing Teams, with strong support from our existing Executive Teams across our customer service, sales, HR, and product departments.
You will work in a young, progressive entrepreneurial work culture where there is plenty of opportunities to grow.
About you:
Minimum 5 years business management and leadership experience
You will have a background in Event Operations, Seminar Industry, Conferencing or similar
You understand and demonstrate the difference between management and leadership
Strong operational and planning skills
Incredible personal time management
Experience delivering on time and on budget
High-level problem-solving skills and overcoming challenges.
Ability to manage and deliver on multiple priorities (juggle projects)
Interstate and International Travel will be required as will weekend work when Events are running
Ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally
Genuine "whatever it takes" attitude
Passionate, Energetic, Hardworking Personality with some fun about you.
Mature thinker with the ability to work autonomously and in a team
Works perfectly under pressure
Entrepreneurial spirit
