Evening Support Worker

Requirements: We are looking for the right person to join our team. Are you reliable, responsible, enthusiastic, and energetic? Can you think outside the square and take the initiative? Are you inclusive and interested in working with people with various needs? Have you worked or had experience in humanitarian services or a related fields e.g. nursing; occupational therapy or support work?
You need to be able to follow clear instructions.
You must be able to blend comfortably into a family environment during quiet times and busy times. Role This position involves assisting two young men living with disability to complete their night time routine. Providing assistance with personal cares (Toileting and showering and going to bed). Good physical strength is required as Transfer assistance (Hoisting and standing transfers) is ongoing. An interest in NZSL and visual communication is also desirable. When
Ideally this is a rotating roster of 5 on 3 off, but this is negotiable and could be a job share position. It is 8.15pm -915pm although it may run slightly later over the summer months.
Once trained there may be opportunities for more work as part of our team at different times of the day. Where This job is based in North East Valley, and the applicant will need to have a reliable form of transport.
