Job Description:Summary Provides consulting services to clients in the discipline of resource and project management; leads small sized projects of low complexity with 3 - 5 resources.
Essential Job Functions
Plans tasks, assigns resources to tasks, monitors and tracks progress and delivers projects according to prescribed standards within the specified schedule and budget (Management).
Manages small project teams of 3 - 5 resources applying basic project management principles for development through deployment to include preparing detail project plans, tracking, reporting status and issues and delegating (Management).
Prepares detailed statements of work (SOW), with assistance, for a small to medium complexity engagement (Management).
Contributes to applying the Catalyst framework, in the role played, to determine the methodological steps appropriate for an engagement (Methodology).
Participates in gathering business requirements through a variety of techniques (e.g., workshops, work sessions and interviews) (Business).
Ensures, through review, that technical components meet standards and user specifications (Technical).
Establishes credibility at all levels with clients and builds problem-solving partnerships with clients and colleagues (Relationship Management).
Understands sales process, information and support requirements, and assists sales staff in identifying leads (Leverage).
Communicates in formal presentation settings including medium sized groups, internal and external project teams and business unit events; develops written communications to address varied styles and information needs (Communication).
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or related field preferred
Three or more years of experience with project control activities and/or leading small teams in business or technical disciplines, preferably within a consulting environment
One to two years of relevant experience in a particular technical, business or industry specialty area included
Experience working with company, client , and/or equivalent vendor-mandated methodology
Experience working with delivery assurance principles and procedures as appropriate for your area of responsibility
Experience working with techniques and approaches related to the architecture, development, integration and deployment project phases
Other Qualifications
Basic skills in estimating and common project management desktop tools
Good communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment
Ability to devise creative solutions to address problems and issues
Ability to convey a strong presence, professional image and deal confidently with complex business or technical problems
Willingness to travel
