Southern District Health Board has an exciting opportunity for you to join a growing team.We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Enrolled Nurses (Dialysis experience not essential) or Clinical Physiologists (endorsed in renal and who are registered with the New Zealand Australian Society of Renal Dialysis Practice) to join our friendlyDunedinteam on a permanent, part-time basis.
About the role - what's in it for me?
The Dialysis service is committed to, and provides for home based dialysis therapy from Waitaki to the Bluff and Central Otago.
In support of this commitment, the Dialysis unit is looking for additional Enrolled Nurses, or Clinical Physiologists who will work under the direction and delegation of a Registered Nurse (in a rostered and rotating capacity inclusive of weekends as required and with the capacity to travel within the district to provide dialysis cover). The successful candidates will provide the full haemodialysis therapy for dialysis patients in their homes and work with others to support them in managing their dialysis at home. Depending on the individual applicant, new graduate Enrolled Nurses may be given consideration. If you think this role is for you - apply now!
A comprehensive orientation and training programme is provided, along with ongoing support.
About you
You must have the ability to work in a high output area, be a flexible and adaptable team player and able to use your initiative with ease. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also paramount for this role. As a member of a multidisciplinary team the role requires the ability to contribute to the ongoing teaching / education of patients and their families. You will be able to demonstrate experience in quality processes and will have a commitment to best practice.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have the following:
A current Annual Practicing Certificate with the right to work in New Zealand
Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals
Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
A full clean driver's licence and a reliable vehicle!
