The Team
Burwood Hospital has vacancies available for Enrolled Nurses to join their teams in both Ward D1 and The Burwood Spinal Unit.
Ward D1 is a 24 bed Older Persons Health and Rehabilitation unit at Burwood Hospital that specialises in patients with orthopaedic injury or post orthopaedic surgery. We sit under the Older Persons Health umbrella and have a strong multi-disciplinary team focus with all our teams have a dedicated passion for rehabilitation. We are seeking engaged and passionate Enrolled Nurses who are eager to join our cohesive and enthusiastic team of health professionals.
The Spinal Unit is a leading New Zealand rehabilitation centre and it provides services for people with Spinal Cord Impairment (SCI) resulting from accident, illness or congenital abnormalities. We are a recognised tertiary service providing comprehensive, interdisciplinary assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for individuals with SCI who live throughout the entire South Island and lower half of the North Island (Taranaki to Hawkes Bay and below).
The Role
In both these roles you will be caring for patients in a rehabilitation setting, however, will be required to deal with complex medical diagnosis and acute episodes, therefore sound assessment skills and the ability to work under pressure are imperative to this role.

You'll have a strong rehabilitation focus, a desire to learn and an understanding of the social needs and backgrounds of patients and their families/Whanau
You will be required to work efficiently and effectively within an innovative interdisciplinary team.
You will be a strong patient advocate, have excellent time management skills and thrive on making a contribution to the health care of our vulnerable patient groups
