Are you an experienced EN with a passion for patient care and discharge planning?
The Transit / Discharge Lounge at Tauranga Hospital provides a comfortable, safe environment for patients who are waiting for their discharge procedures to be completed. It is a fast-paced unit with high client turnover. You will be working in partnership with staff across all the acute departments to assist in facilitating patients' timely discharge from hospital.
The ideal candidate requires excellent organisational and communication skills. You will also require current registration with the NZ Nursing Council and recent acute care experience in Medical and/ or Surgical nursing. You will work in a team with an Registered Nurse (RN), EN and Health Care Assistant (HCA) per shift. You must be comfortable working under the direction and delegation of the RN, and alongside HCAs and volunteers, to ensure evidence based clinical care is provided.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Enrolled Nurse with excellent coordination skills to join our team. The transit lounge operates Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day presently 08.30 / 09.00 to 17.00 / 17.30 although some flexibility will be required.
