About the Team
Ward 6C is a 12-bed acute assessment and treatment unit for people aged over 65 years with an array of mental health (along with some physical health) needs, located in Dunedin Hospital.
About the Role / About You
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical skills, working alongside patients in a complex environment to meet their identified needs in a multi-disciplinary setting where the emphasis is on the delivery of safe client focused care in an ever changing dynamic setting. You’ll assess and treat patients with your exceptional nursing skills aiming for the best outcome, as well as communicating regularly with their families.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Enrolled Nurse to join our team. It is preferred you have Mental Health experience however if you are a new graduate who has a strong willingness to work in this field we encourage you to apply. You’ll have a range of skills and the ability to work effectively with a large team to a high standard within your scope of practice.
To be successful in this role you must be positive with great communication skills, be able to take direction and work well as part of team. You will have a passion for supporting older people with varying mental and physical health needs.
You must also be registered as an Enrolled Nurse with NCNZ (Enrolled Nurse Scope of Practice, NCNZ, 2010) and have a current Practicing Certificate.
The starting salary for this position would be in accordance with the NZNO MECA Enrolled Nurses scale starting at $48,632 pro rata.
