ABOUT THE ROLE An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Practice Lead to join our team at our Christchurch HQ. You will be responsible for leading a team of Solution Architects, Software and Quality Engineers, who deliver innovative digital solutions for our diverse customer base across New Zealand and worldwide. As a member of our Services Leadership Team, you'll also be a key contributor to the design and execution of our technology and business strategy. Role Purpose: Provide strategic technical leadership around our technologies, frameworks, and tools. Grow and support our engineering practice and the capabilities of our people. Support operational planning and management of service delivery. Supporting business growth through engaging with customers. ABOUT YOU You'll have a broad technical background, most likely as an Engineer or Architect, that will enable you to identify and champion the adoption of modern technologies, tools and practices that enable quality and agility. To do this successfully you will need to be a strong communicator and natural collaborator, ensuring your stakeholders and team members are engaged and proactively embracing our culture and ways of working. You will have an outcome-focused mindset coupled with a strong commercial awareness and commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Key Requirements: IT/Computer Science or related degree. Significant experience in technology leadership roles. Ability to foster collaborative and high performing environments. Proven success in managing multiple technology projects. Experience in recruiting, training, and developing IT professionals. Knowledge of various software development best practices and methodologies with cloud-based solutions experience highly desirable.
