As a growing product company, Gentrack is continuing to evolve the role for a development leader. As a member of the Engineering leadership team you will work to evolve processes for growth, inspiring excellence and driving outcomes that will delight our customers. You take a wide view in creating conditions and focus, allowing your cross-functional teams to flourish. The teams you support build strong bonds, challenge each other to inspire excellence, and support one another through the rough patches.
Chances are you have been down this path before, but you continue to learn and be inspired by others. You are flexible in your thinking and understand that adaptability in agile practices leads to optimal outcomes. Your background in software engineering allows you to jump into the conversation, to challenge thinking for design and quality, and drive best practice while thinking within the product constraints.
Reporting to the Global Head of Development you will:
Leading a tribe of 3-4 autonomous, multi-discipline, “T-shaped” Development teams spanning 15-20 people.
Being a Leader, comfortable with managing software product delivery, coaching teams and individuals, an agile mindset, and a clear understanding of the business’ bigger picture.
Playing a pivotal role in inspiring and motivating everyone to be the best they can be.
Working with your fellow tribe Leads to drive change within the Engineering practice and foster a positive culture of continuous improvement.
About You
A background in software engineering.
Strong experience in managing software development teams.
Have a passion for your team and a track record of nurturing and developing people to be the best they can be.
A relentless drive for continuous improvement in processes, others and yourself.
Experience with a software product company that values agile principles and practices.
Experience in product development and operations for a SaaS product would be very beneficial.
