Engineering Manager

Australian tech pioneer and global SaaS giant is looking to grow their global operations with the addition of two experience Engineering Managers

Having built an enviable reputation as one of Australia's truly global success stories, this iconic product and engineering led company is building out their global management team in Sydney.

Reporting to the VP of Engineering and working closely with product, design and engineering across 2 major global cities, the role of Engineering Manager will provide people and engineering leadership to a cross functional team of QA's DevOps, back, front and native mobile engineers.

The day-to-day
Full accountability for leading and scaling development teams and environment
Running the day-to-day management of your squad with an emphasis on results, recruiting, and helping to mentor and develop software engineers
Assist the Director of Engineering with the technology and architectural roadmap; keeping on top of major changes in the industry and technology landscape
Provide on-site coaching and problem solving to engineers across disciplines including mobile, Server and infrastructure/operations

The wish list.
Experience scaling teams within a busy software development environment, touching all layers of development within a highly scalable business database, server side, frontend and mobile.
Track record of managing, recruiting, developing, & scaling world class engineering teams
Demonstrated experience driving engineering efforts in a startup environment and providing hands-on management
Experience with services oriented architecture, testing methodologies, automation and CI/CD.
Experience leading and scaling a cross-functional engineering team
Compelling communicator with both tech & non-tech audiences, who inspires & motivates
Prior work with AWS services or other cloud infrastructure platforms
