Electrician – Rotating Shift
Our Nelson mill is working on all cylinders to meet NZ’s demandfor timber and our team of electricians are a critical part of the business.
The role:
We are seeking an industrial electrician for troubleshooting,breakdowns and maintenance electrical works within our sawmillingenvironment. The role has a four week rotating shift roster with 10 hourdays and 2-4 days off between a new week. We highly value the electrical teamand provide an above average hourly rate, shift allowances, and overtime.
Jobtasks and responsibilities:

Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting
Breakdown response
Fault finding with great problem solving ability to keep downtime to a minimum
Good communicator and positive approach with other team membersand mill staff

Skills and experience:

• New Zealand Registered Electrician (EWRB) with at least 5years New Zealand work experience.
• Experience in a fast moving manufacturing environment, timber milling abonus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge required.
• Excellent communication skills and experience with basic computer use.
• Familiar with Allen Bradley PLC’s (programming a bonus), HMI’s, VSD’s(Shneider & Power Electronics predominantly) & associated I/O,automation & troubleshooting electrical systems.
