Fonterra is the world's largest diversified milk processing company and one of the world's top producers of dairy nutrition for both domestic and export markets.
Our Lichfield site manufactures enough blocks of cheese to fill three rugby fields every week. Cheese produced at Lichfield has an international flavour, with the site's brine and dry salt products destined for markets in Japan, America, Latin America, Europe and Australia. Fonterra Lichfield also helps to fuel our babies and sportspeople, producing whey protein concentrate and isolates for use in infant formulas and energy drinks.
The Opportunity
Ensuring that we meet our operational targets requires a strong leadership and dedicated maintenance staff – this is where you come in!
With a strong emphasis on preventative and condition based maintenance programs you'll need to effectively manage situations that affect manufacturing ability. You have the ability to identify and trouble shoot problems in a modern processing plant. Crucial to this role will be the relationships you build across the business with a broad range of people, along with your ability to communicate at all levels.
Your key responsibilities and focus will be on the following:
• Providing electrical maintenance and instrumentation services for the site
• Dealing with high speed machinery and complex operating systems.
• Completing preventative maintenance and supporting breakdowns
• Ensuring all process plant repairs and maintenance are completed in timely and cost-effective manner
• Installation and maintenance of electrical control equipment, motors, and control loops
This role is a rotating shift position (4 on 4 off) with an on-call component required.
What You’ll Bring
To be successful in these roles you will need the following:
• Qualified Electrician with a current practising licence
• Experience in Automation and instrumentation problem solving
• Industrial, large scale manufacturing electrical experience
• Experience in undertaking general maintenance functions such as equipment repair, failure analysis and preventative maintenance
