Developing excellent asset management solutions and systems is a key focus for PowerNet which allows it to expand and enables it to provide asset management services to the Waikato's new Ruakura Superhub.Strategically positioned, PowerNet is a diverse player in the energy sector offering a combination of Asset Management, New Energy Development, Network Operations, and Contracting Services.The RoleFocused on enabling reliable power supply to the Southland community, you will be responsible for developing the Asset Management Plan and leading special projects for The Power Company Network while supporting colleagues across PowerNet's other networks.With a broad remit, you will:Undertake network planning and forecast future network investmentCollaborate with a range of external stakeholders including councils and large energy usersDevelop & present business cases to enable forecasted expenditureProject engineer complex solutions including substation developments and decarbonisation projectsWork with the Asset Fleet Team and other internal stakeholders in ensuring optimised investment and work programmesWith internal network modelling support, you will be solutions focused.
This will see you enjoying identifying network constraints and developing effective solutions.About YouAn Electrical Engineer, you will be experienced working with medium and/or high voltage systems.
This could see you coming from distribution, industrial, transmission or generation environments.
With exposure to asset management practices, you'll be familiar with effective investment planning while having detailed technical knowledge.With well-developed interpersonal skills, you'll enjoy collaborating internally and externally.
You'll have the ability to work with large energy users, understanding their needs as well as engaging with contractors and consultants in overseeing the technical delivery of various projects.The OpportunityJoining an innovative network management business, you'll gain exposure to a variety of projects, in both strategic and technical capacities.
