Details of the offer

The Marlborough Sounds Marinas team is privileged to manage three top quality Marinas that offer direct access to some of the world’s best boating. Due to an internal promotion they now have an opportunity for a Dockhand to join their Marina Services Team.

This unique role is ideal for someone looking for a career pathway that involves interacting with people and being by the water all day. As Dockhand, you’ll be a key part of the Marinas’ team helping with the day to day operational aspects of running a marina including the berths, boatshed, compound, and hardstand facilities at the marina.

This varied role includes interacting with boat owners on the dock, at the launching ramp, hardstand or elsewhere in the marina. Most of your day will be spent outside however there is also an administrative component, so you’ll need to be comfortable undertaking computer-based administrative tasks.

A full NZ Driver’s Licence is essential and a heavy trade licence would also be an advantage. The full-time working week for this role generally includes working one weekend day.

If you’re good with people, have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, are physically fit, happy to get hands-on and love the idea of kickstarting your career within the Marine industry we would love to hear from you,

Applications close Monday the 5th of October 2020.

Enquiries are welcome by phoning Emily Bissett on 03 5468649 or 0272 285999.
